We are seeking a warm, bright and enthusiastic individual to join our welcoming maternity administration team to work as a receptionist within our Antenatal Outpatients department.
This role will be front of house patient facing, with a requirement to rotate between different reception desks within our busy outpatient’s department.
You will be expected to check patients in and book women their appointments and ultrasound scans, in line with national guidance. Aswell as dealing with in person queries whilst answering phonelines.
You will also be monitoring/actioning relevant EPIC work queues/waiting lists related to Maternity patients as required.
This role will have a significant and direct impact on our patients experiences and will also involve rescheduling and cancelling clinics when needed and responding to secure EPIC in-basket chats and email inbox queries.
The successful applicant will be patient focused with excellent customer care skills and an eye for detail. They will enjoy daily interactions with patients, visitors, and multidisciplinary hospital staff.
We are looking for candidates who are seeking an opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge across the different areas to be covered. The work will be interesting and varied, giving good grounding for career progression.
This role will be an integral part of the administration team working within a clinical setting.
The post holder will be providing a high quality, comprehensive range of administrative duties.
The main duties of the role include:
- Checking in and booking following appointments
- Liaising with a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, midwives, and administrators
- Interacting with patients, including resolving queries and complaints in person, via email or telephone and escalating where appropriate
- Participating in service improvement projects
- Epic Work queue and waiting list management.
