The Offer
As a Support Worker based at Coopers Chase at Enham Trust, you'll have a supportive, caring nature and strive to empower our service users. You will demonstrate a "can do" attitude, enabling residents to make informed choices about their lives. Supporting residents to reach their full potential in line with their support plan, risk assessments, and ordinary life principles.
Reporting to the Senior Support Worker and Service Manager, you will provide person-centred services to people in all aspects of their lives, offering opportunities to access recreational, educational, and social activities that enhance life experiences. You will encourage residents to do as much as possible for themselves while helping to identify assistance required to enable them to live as independently as possible.
The purpose of the role is to enable people to reach their potential through both practical and emotional support.
The role will require the post-holder to work independently and as part of a team in various settings, such as the service user’s home in Cooper’s Chase, supporting individuals to lead a fulfilling and more independent life.
This position is on a Casual Contract, with shift patterns on a rota basis between the hours of 7 am - 10 pm, including sleep-in shifts.

Coopers Chase is a unique Transitional Service, providing the perfect balance of gaining independence while being supported.
Located in the village of Enham Alamein, Coopers Chase offers 10 individual flats to support residents in living more independently and developing essential living skills for transitioning to independent living accommodation.
Built in 2011, Coopers Chase consists of modern bedsits, kitchenettes, and en-suite wet rooms. Residents can also enjoy a communal lounge, kitchen, laundry facilities, and beautiful shared gardens.

About You
You will need:
* Good communication skills
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills
* Compassion and patience
* Ideally, some experience in a caring industry, such as hospitality or schools
* To pass our DBS check or be on the DBS update service
Even better if you have previous experience in a care environment and knowledge of disabilities, issues relating to physical access and adaptation, along with a commitment to and understanding of equal opportunities.
