We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated staff for the Recovery Area at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. You will be expected to have at least 2 years of extensive experience in acute care and/or recovery. Applicants must have excellent communication, influencing, and leadership skills and thrive in a busy team environment. You will be encouraged and supported to further develop using the educational and experiential learning opportunities available. A structured orientation programme will support your development with the support of your team leader and the education team, to facilitate career development and progression.

If you have experience in a Theatre or Acute environment and like to work in a challenging, innovative, and supportive environment, then the Theatre Recovery Area and the Enhanced Care Area would be the place for you.
This department provides Monday to Saturday cover; therefore, there will be shift work, night duty, and Saturday morning.
Person Specification
Education/training/quals
* Registered Nurse (Part 1, 8, 12 or 15 of register depending on area of practice), ODP HCPC registration or National certification in area of Practice.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development through maintenance of an ongoing NMC/HCPC revalidation.
* Minimum of 3 years experience in anaesthetics and recovery.
* Evidence of achievement of a NMC approved Mentorship qualification.
* Post-graduate qualification related to an area of practice.
* UK recognised Degree in Nursing relevant to post or equivalent qualification for ODPs.
Leadership and Management
* Able to prioritise own workload and that of others as appropriate.
* Demonstrates ability to maintain and contribute to the development of standards of practice, conduct, or decision-making in conjunction with team leaders/unit coordinator.
* Acts as a role model and is able to lead by example to ensure the Trust's values and behaviours are reinforced throughout their area of practice.
* Able to supervise non-registered and less experienced staff to ensure effective care delivery.
* Able to effectively and appropriately escalate concerns to reduce risk and promote patient safety.
* Previous experience of managing clinical incidents and complaints.
* Previous substantive management experience of specific clinical area.
