Scott Mills, Greg James and Nick Grimshaw all used to call this place home. You can too.
Though you won’t be waking up with the nation on breakfast radio, you will be based in the former home of the BBC.
Though musical connections don’t stop there.
This is the opportunity to work at a leading law firm in the media, music and entertainment sectors.
You can work with household names across their key sectors, including musicians, TV production companies and professional sports teams. This is everything from BAFTA and BRIT Award winners through to emerging talent. The nature of this work means that their corporate deals are often bespoke. This means no two days will be the same.
This is a team with a solid foundation. You’ll have junior support from below, so you won’t get bogged down in admin and the leadership of Legal 500 ranked “Hall of Fame” Partners.
They have 10 fee earners in total meaning you’ll get to know everyone but still have the support to build your own practice and work your way towards Partnership. Over 75% of their Corporate Partners were promoted internally.
This is a social law firm with a strong emphasis on team culture. This is supported by quarterly socials and a healthy work / life balance. There are no target hours.
You’ll be working on the full spectrum of corporate deals.
As a Senior Corporate Solicitor, you will be expected to help run M&A transactions and be in a client facing role.
You’ll therefore be familiar drafting and negotiating SPA’s, company formations, investment agreements and shareholder agreements. Given their client base, you’ll also be comfortable speaking to clients in plain English. Cutting the legal jargon and giving understandable practical advice.
No more billing 2,000+ hours. More getting interesting deals done and being able to leave the office at a reasonable time.
You don’t need to have existing experience in the music and entertainment sectors. Though a willingness to do so (as well as professional services, technology and other types of clients!) will help.
Their role is 4 days a week in their London office. A cool workspace which pays homage to their
musical roots.
