We are recruiting for a temporary Outreach Learning Design Assistant to work on site at one of our centrally based departments starting mid-November for approximately 12 weeks, working 36.5 hours per week and paying £16.57 per hour.
Duties:
* Provide administrative support for booking venues, transport, accommodation, and suppliers, including raising purchase orders, ordering supplies, and liaising with suppliers.
* Provide administrative support for recruiting researchers and student ambassadors, including advertising, interviewing, onboarding, updating databases, payroll, and collating and updating training materials.
* Provide administrative support for liaising with schools and booking pupils, teachers, and parents into events, including maintaining GDPR compliance.
* Assist colleagues with the production of printed and digital assets for use on social media and as classroom resources. Training will be offered.
* Assist with the writing and production of e-newsletters for teachers and students and compile and monitor mailing lists to ensure GDPR compliance and proactively work to increase subscriber numbers.
* Support the running of key project social media accounts as required, including responding to direct messages, writing and scheduling social media posts, and sourcing appropriate images to accompany them.
* Manage external enquiries and maintain good working relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
* Assist coordinators with project management and maintaining project documentation.
* Accurately compile data for project reports.
* Support colleagues at live-streamed or in-person events.
* Input feedback survey data into HEAT (Higher Education Access Tracker) and other databases.
* Support colleagues at online or in-person events.
Essential Criteria:
* Proven experience of working with young people in an educational setting, e.g., schools and universities.
* Proven experience of assisting with face-to-face education events.
* Strong experience of administrative work related to finance, personnel, and other general administration.
* Proven event management experience.
