Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this position is a superb opportunity to join a truly inspiring and innovative business with Headquarters in Leamington Spa.
The role would suit a proactive self-starter with excellent numeracy skills and the ability to manage a small team. You will ideally be qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
This position is office-based and 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Main Duties Include:
1. Lead the financial and accounting function for the organisation.
2. Manage the accounting team to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
3. Ensure the company adheres to finance and accounting policies and has robust financial controls.
Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
1. Lead the accounting and bookkeeping for the company, managing and developing a (remote) team of three.
2. Prepare the monthly management accounts and provide insight and commentary on the numbers.
3. Ensure revenue and UA (COS) is accurately reported in the accounts by reconciling to external dashboards.
4. Ensure accuracy in financial data by reconciling accounts and processing transactions.
5. Process and review journals for accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
6. Prepare weekly cashflow forecasts and monitor cash flow, ensuring daily bank reconciliations are completed.
7. Preparation and review of weekly payment runs.
8. Preparation/review of monthly payroll and ensuring payments and filings are made in a timely manner.
9. Manage VAT returns, Payroll, and ONS submissions ensuring they are filed in a timely manner.
10. Ensure all royalty statements are prepared accurately and sent to third parties.
11. Help maintain and improve financial controls, policies, and procedures.
12. Assist the Group Financial Controller with the end-of-year audit, being the main contact point for queries.
13. Build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders to support financial objectives.
14. Ad-hoc tasks which may arise from time to time and be assigned to you by your line manager.
Skills & Experience:
1. At least 3+ years of experience in a finance role.
2. Demonstrate strong leadership abilities to guide, motivate, and effectively manage high-performing teams.
3. Strong decision-making skills, including the ability to make informed and timely decisions.
