Jefferis Healthcare will be a private company focused on acquiring, consolidating and operating established Elderly Care Homes throughout the UK. With a strategic focus on acquisitions, operational excellence and delivering superior care services, we aim to become a leading provider in the sector. As we embark on this journey, we are seeking an entrepreneurial, dynamic and experienced Care Home specialist advisor, transitioning to Managing Director to drive our vision forward and ensure the successful execution of our ambitious plans.
Position Summary:
The Managing Director (MD) will play a critical role in leading the firm through its phases of growth. Joining initially in an advisory capacity on equity only. The MD will be responsible for overseeing the company’s operations, strategic direction and financial performance, ensuring that all acquisitions are smoothly integrated and aligned with the company's vision. Reporting directly to the Chairman, the MD will work closely with the executive team to establish and execute strategic initiatives that drive business growth and enhance shareholder value.
Must be comfortable working initially on equity only.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the company’s strategic plan in alignment with its mission and long-term goals. Lead the organisation through a period of significant growth and transformation.
* Operational Management: Oversee daily operations across all acquired care homes, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of care and operational efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise performance.
* Acquisition Integration: Collaborate with the Head of M&A to ensure smooth integration of acquired entities, focusing on harmonising systems, processes and culture.
* Financial Performance: Monitor and manage the company’s financial performance, ensuring profitability, cash flow management and cost control. Collaborating with the CFO, providing regular reports to the Chairman.
* Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing executive team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and innovation.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all care homes comply with regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of care. Liaise with relevant authorities to stay abreast of changes in legislation and industry standards.
* Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, regulators, employees and partners. Represent the company in industry forums and public engagements.
* Brand Development: Work with the marketing team to enhance the company’s brand reputation and market presence, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
Key Qualifications:
* Proven Experience: Extensive experience in a senior leadership role within the care or related sectors. A track record of successful business growth and operational management with knowledge of M&A is essential.
* Strategic Thinker: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans that drive business growth and operational excellence.
* Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting. Experience in managing P&L responsibilities.
* Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team towards common goals.
* Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the healthcare and care home sectors, including regulatory requirements, market dynamics and emerging trends.
* Change Management: Experience in leading organisations through periods of significant change, including mergers and acquisitions, integration and transformation initiatives.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Comfortable working on equity only for short period before acquisition.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Education: A degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management or a related field. An MBA or similar advanced qualification is highly desirable.
* Industry Recognition: Membership in relevant industry associations or recognition within the healthcare or care home sectors would be advantageous.

* Base Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience.
* Performance Bonus: A performance-based bonus structure linked to the successful achievement of business goals.

Pay: £70,000.00-£100,000.00 per year
