As a Purchasing Administrator you will be the lynchpin between customers and production. Day to day your job will involve:
1. Providing quotations to Customers and chasing Purchase Orders.
2. Liaising with your in-house production and warehouse team to ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
3. Dealing with customer enquiries as needed (updating on order progress, requoting work if necessary etc).
4. Maintaining in-house databases.
To be a successful Purchasing Administrator you will need:
1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills – this is a “people” job.
2. A good level of computer and numeric literacy – Ms Excel in particular.
3. Experience working within a Manufacturing Supply Chain – ideally in a parts / stores / inventory, procurement type function.
