Principal People are exclusively supporting an industrial organisation to recruit for a Senior Health and Safety Position.
The role is covering sites around the Country with a great deal of flexibility and autonomy. You will operate a full hybrid policy involving site visits and working from home to aid a positive work-life balance.
You will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and will play a significant role in developing and implementing a positive Health and Safety Strategy throughout the site operational teams. This is a newly created role due to the growth and development of the business, providing a great time to join the team!
You will have the opportunity to work alongside other safety professionals who are supportive of one another. The business is incredibly supportive towards Health and Safety and has invested heavily into new technology and processes to increase safety standards.
The role reports into an experienced Health and Safety Director who is there to help guide your safety career and wants this role to have a great deal of autonomy.
Position Details:
UK Health and Safety Manager – £65k to £75k + Car Allowance + Bonus – Manufacturing / Industrial – (Hybrid)
Key Duties Include:
1. Offering appropriate advice and support to the site teams within Health and Safety matters.
2. Creating and implementing practical and effective methods to promote awareness of Health and Safety requirements.
3. Working closely with the safety and operational teams regarding implementing a positive safety strategy.
4. Creating positive relationships with the sites to help improve the Health and Safety Culture across the business.
5. Working closely with underperforming sites and forming strategies to help them improve and enhance safety standards.
6. Management of the ISO Accreditations across the business.
7. Being a key member of the team to help feed into and develop a positive safety strategy.

1. A Health and Safety Diploma Qualification.
2. Experience within operational Health and Safety.
3. Experience of developing and implementing a Health and Safety Strategy.
4. Experience managing a team within Health and Safety will be beneficial.
5. Full UK Driving License & experience of managing multiple locations within a previous role.
