GSL Education are seeking a diligent and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in Barnet. In this role, you will assist students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them reach their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities of the SEN TA:
Support students on a one-on-one basis and in small groups to address their specific learning and behavioural needs.
Help deliver tailored educational plans, assisting students with SEMH needs to engage with the curriculum.
Promote positive behaviour, providing strategies to improve social and emotional well-being.
Collaborate with teachers and support staff to monitor student progress and contribute to individual learning plans.
Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment that empowers students to thrive.
Requirements of the SEN TA:
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH is essential.
Strong understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning.
Patience, resilience, and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students.
Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
