The role
We are seeking a talented Head of Actuarial Systems with experience of designing and developing end to end actuarial reporting systems and proficiency in cloud based actuarial valuation platforms to lead our dynamic team.
We’re currently delivering a significant project to transform our actuarial systems landscape to improve our end to end reporting capability, utilising the latest cloud technologies to automate our reporting processes across Solvency II and IFRS external reporting as well as internal management information. You will have the unique opportunity to shape and own these systems capabilities, which include enhancing our capability on the Integrate MG-ALFA liability cashflow model and actuarial modelling platform and self-building several key valuation and reporting capabilities.
You will work with system Actuarial Product Owners to define, implement and maintain the Actuarial Systems Strategy in support of the LifeCo and group project agenda. You will also work with Senior Leadership in Actuarial and Finance to manage and prioritise the inbound demand for change and development from projects and BAU teams. Establishing strong relationships across the business the role will lead and develop the Actuarial Systems teams as well as establish and embed best practice standards across systems design, development, testing and deployment.
What are we looking for?
A senior qualified Actuary or equivalent by experience you will have a proven track record in successfully leading an Actuarial Systems team. You will have demonstrable leadership and influencing skills as well as excellent problem analysis and resolution skills.
You will ideally have a proven background in designing and developing end-to-end actuarial reporting systems, who is proficient in cloud-based actuarial valuation platforms. You will be responsible for leading the transition of our investment into your BAU team, embedding a continuous improvement culture to drive the on-going evolution of our actuarial systems capability in the future.
