Walsall Local Henry Coordinator - Ref: SS04624
Salary: G7, £31,364 - £35,745 per annum, pro-rata
Contract: 2 Year fixed term contract (potential to extend), part time (24 hours per week)
Are you passionate about supporting Walsall parents and carers to enable their babies and children to live healthy lives right from the start?
An exciting new opportunity has arisen within Walsall as Walsall Council have entered into a partnership with HENRY to deliver meaningful support for Walsall parents and carers from pre-birth to 12 years old through group programmes and workshops. This role is vital to ensure the success of the programme and embed activity within Walsall.
HENRY is a renowned organisation with a successful and evidence-based approach working alongside parents to build their knowledge and confidence to ensure the best start in life for their babies, young children and their families. Programmes include issues such as healthy weight, sleep, oral health, introduction to solid foods, activity, and nutrition.
Working alongside colleagues, you will lead the implementation of all aspects of this partnership from generating referrals/self-referrals to logistical planning, delivery, facilitation, and evaluation of group programmes and workshops for parents and carers of young children.
As part of the role, you will also be expected to deliver programmes and workshops to parents. In addition, you will be responsible for the coordination, training, evaluation, and support for Walsall’s local HENRY facilitators. To successfully coordinate HENRY across Walsall, you will need tact and sensitivity to build collaborative relationships with internal and external colleagues and community partners. You will need an empathic and caring approach that supports families to give their children the best start in life.
This role requires an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references as part of our commitment to safer recruitment.
