Lincolnshire Children's Services, East Lindsey are recruiting a full time Senior Early Help Worker. Appropriately qualified applicants should be passionate about delivering effective services and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people. Applicants need excellent leadership and communication skills along with the confidence to work with partners to manager risk and vulnerability.
Situated across the East of Lincolnshire County covering The Wolds and Coastal areas of Skegness and Mablethorpe the Early Help Team in East Lindsey offers an opportunity for you to become part of a dynamic, multi skilled and enthusiastic team. We are dedicated to providing support and intervention to families so they can make positive changes that improve the lives of their children.
The post holder will have either a professional qualification in Youth Work (JNC recognised) or Social Work; a diploma / qualification in careers guidance or Level 4 in Guidance or Diploma or equivalent level 4 qualification in relevant subjects for working with children, young people and families.
An understanding of the importance of good people management, as well as experience supporting, guiding and mentoring others.
A knowledge / understanding of child development, adolescent, risk-taking behaviour and trauma-informed approached. A track record of collaborative working to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
The post holder will be required to travel and work in a timely and flexible manner to undertake the duties of the role and there is some element of evening and weekend work where cases require it. The Early Help Team work with children and young people both short and long term within the Team Around the Child (TAC), Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP) and Children in Care (CIC)
