Position: Commissioning Engineer

Primary Scope and Purpose of Role
Design Integration has identified an opportunity for a Commissioning Engineer to take responsibility and ownership companywide for both on and off-site commissioning elements associated with the delivery & deployment of works within the company.
Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, your role will be pivotal in the delivery & deployment of high quality, well-engineered AV/VC/Collaboration projects to our clients.
Typical Duties Include:
* Responsibility, ownership & documentation for Commissioning, Debugging & As Built stages associated with project delivery and system design.
* Pre-staging of racks and pre-built systems i.e. cable tray assemblies in the office before they are sent to site with the development and completion of pre-stage checklists.
* Receipt of project handovers from Project/Engineering Manager for upcoming projects.
* Keeping up to date with the product ranges from our leading manufacturers and ensuring competence with set up and configuration.
* Working closely with the Technical Manager in respect of Crestron Control programming & Audio DSP Programming.
* Client liaison in respect of network-based technologies and associated implications when connecting the client LAN.
* Provide training to end users/clients and complete hand over to Service Team.
* Providing technical guidance and prowess to junior members of the team and subcontractors.
* Completion of Commissioning Audit, highlighting any snags, defects or changes and creating action log.
* Capture any changes to the systems and provide back to Project Manager and/or Design Manager to produce “As Built” drawings.
* Providing support to Sales & Design teams with product guidance and specification as required.
* Providing second line technical support to the Service team where required.

Requirements:
The commissioner will hold valid certification to some of the below manufacturers. Optional certifications include but are not limited to:
* Avixa AV related training
* Network specific training
