Overview
We're looking for a talented Project Manager with consultancy experience to join us at Expleo. You will be working in a client-facing role, overseeing the successful discovery initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of various SAP 4/HANA Upgrade and Integration projects. You will be accountable for the delivery of defined work packages to the client and provide effective management to teams while giving guidance to others and key business users.
The successful candidate will be a strong leader, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adaptable, and able to excel in various project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid. Our environment is fast-paced, dynamic, and innovative!
Responsibilities
* Oversee delivery of a critical SAP 4/HANA upgrade and new platform integration, followed by a second SAP upgrade project.
* Understand and address client needs, recommend options, and establish a baseline for solution delivery.
* Manage multiple projects using methodologies such as Waterfall, ensuring adherence to frameworks, processes, and tools.
* Develop strategies and direct teams to complete deliverables within agreed budgets and timelines.
* Develop and maintain realistic project plans using tools like MS Project.
* Implement controls and process improvements within the team.
* Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects within financial, time, and quality tolerances.
* Define, communicate, and ensure adherence to roles and responsibilities for all team members.
* Ensure appropriate support and integration of project resources.
* Ensure all deliverables are high-quality, fit for purpose, and produced within agreed timelines and budgets.
* Build productive relationships with third-party suppliers.
* Communicate and manage expectations with sponsors, team members, and stakeholders.
* Lead multi-functional teams, fostering accountability and high-quality delivery.
* Communicate effectively across all levels and champion organizational change.
* Use metrics to assess project success and make necessary changes.
* Analyze and research critical problems, review reports.
* Lead post-mortem reviews for lessons learned and best practices.
* Identify and manage issues impacting project delivery.
* Provide regular reports on dependencies and risks.
* Maintain awareness of project interdependencies.
* Apply technical and quality strategies as directed by the PMO.
* Coach teams to embrace flexibility and innovation while maintaining standards.
* Engage with stakeholders, internal teams, vendors, and dependent teams for effective teamwork and project success.
Qualifications
* A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field.
* An additional course or certification in Business Consulting, Project management (Waterfall, Agile).
* Additional Technical Certifications: Scrum Master, PMP, Prince2.
Essential Skills
* Good understanding of SAP 4/HANA platform or other ERP Systems and their various module applications and associated workflows.
* Proven project management skills pertaining to the below frameworks:
o Planning: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with overall programme objectives.
o RAID Management: Identify, manage, and mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies.
o Finance Management: Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery.
o Reporting: Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and issues.
o Quality Management: Ensure all deliverables meet the required quality standards.
* Excellent client-facing skills.
* People management skills - introducing and building ways in which people can learn from each other, encouraging mentoring and the transfer of knowledge by designing and delivering learning interventions.
* Teamwork and emotional intelligence.
* Good self-management – continuous performance is both an objective and a mindset.
* Knowledge of applications/technology knowledge, building on specialist domain knowledge.
* Proficient with project management tools, tracking plans and actual statistics from inception through to implementation.
* Knowledge of client/server architecture, object-oriented design/development, and package implementation.
* Coordination and planning skills - needs to be able to pull the "many strands together".
* Strong skills in relationship/stakeholder management with the ability to deliver concise, influential, and targeted communication. Able to deal with ambiguity & complex stakeholder management.
* Proactive approach and prepared to “tackle issues”.
* Applying problem-solving methodologies and tools to diagnose and solve problems.
* Providing technical guidance to enable others and solving technical queries from junior colleagues.
* Ability to think strategically as well as being able to focus on the detail.
Experience
* Experience of leading large scale digital transformation projects, involving business process and change, organization change, and multiple large-scale technology components.
* Project management lifecycle and experience with all stages of the product development lifecycle (concept to launch).
* Experience working with technical teams, architecture, and 3rd party suppliers/providers.
* Experience in SAP 4/HANA platform, upgrades, integrations, migrations, and implementations.
What do I need before I apply?
* You'll also need to be flexible to travel to client sites across the UK as required, specifically Milton Keynes.
