Job Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
* Assist with daily living activities, ensuring the well-being and safety of all residents.
* Implement individual care plans tailored to the specific needs of each child.
* Support children with challenging behaviours and promote positive interactions.
* Engage in three-to-one support sessions to encourage personal development.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
* Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills.
* Be available for waking night shifts as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in care work, particularly with children and young people.
* Knowledge of therapeutic care practices and support for children with learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, and complex care needs.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
* Experience in control and restraint techniques.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Empathy and patience when working with children and young people.
* Relevant qualifications in health and social care or equivalent.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service.
