Mission & Role of the Function
Key member of the Operational Shift team in assisting the Shift Manager to promote operational excellence whilst operating and maintaining the Profuel plant operations, designed to process granulated solid fuel for the Cement Kiln, on a continuous twenty-four hour operation.
Key Accountabilities
* To operate mobile plant within company rules and maintain kiln demand in an efficient manner without compromise to the safety and protection of personnel, environment, machinery, plant and production.
* Ensuring all environmental, health and safety, and quality requirements are complied with.
* To operate the equipment to supply fuel to the process in conjunction with the Profuel Plant Controller.
* To prioritise and coordinate activities in order to meet the work objectives as defined by the Profuel Plant Controller.
* To maintain a high level of housekeeping.
* To rotate and monitor stock levels.
* Communicate all relevant information to related colleagues and on-site functions.
* To complete reports and associated documentation as necessary.
* Co-ordinate material movement for best practice plant operation.
* Assist shift Manager as required for any other process related work.
Job Dimensions
* Operation of mobile equipment for the process of materials for production.
* Ensure safe and efficient warehouse operation, including deliveries from contract supplier.
* Liaise with Profuel Plant Controller to coordinate deliveries and maintain stock levels.
* Liaise with Profuel Plant Controller to ensure equipment and mobile plant faults are reported.
* Report to the Profuel Plant Controller any H&S, environmental, quality or supply issues.
Job Requirements
* A strong focus on H&S.
* High level of experience and competency on mobile equipment.
* Training or previous experience on fire safety and associated risks.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and improve efficiency.
* Demonstration of ownership and self-motivation.
* Good knowledge of location of equipment and operation of equipment.
* Awareness of safety and environmental issues and relevant training.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education/Qualification
* Good inter-personal and communication skills.
* Good literacy and numerical standards.
* Good understanding of health & safety in the workplace.
* Ability to work independently.
