Main duties of the job
We are looking for enthusiastic staff to come and join our neuro theatre scrub team at St George's.
We are interested in hearing from staff who do have experience in neuro, but also from those who have experience in other theatre specialities as we are happy to support and facilitate the training of individuals who are keen to learn neuro.
We have 33 operating theatres between St George's and Queen Mary's Hospitals. Our staff work in teams and we are committed to keeping our focus on giving Outstanding Care, Every Time to our patients.

Qualifications & Training
* Registered Nurse (general) or Operating Department Practitioner
Organisational Management
* Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care according to individual needs.
* Ability to effectively prioritise workload and patient care needs.
* Demonstrates an understanding of managing resources.
* Demonstrates an understanding of clinical risk.
* Ability to take charge of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager on a regular basis.
Education & Research
* Demonstrates an understanding of the importance of research and evidence-based practice.
* Able to explain the principles of mentoring and assessing junior staff.
* Understands the importance of developing self and others.
* Demonstrates an understanding of audit.
* Ability to take on small research or audit projects.
General & Personal
* Motivated and demonstrates an enthusiasm for the speciality.

Salary: £35,964 to £43,780 a year (pro-rata including HCAS)
