About the Role
The Head of Occupational Health will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the Occupational Health department at NHS Ayrshire & Arran. This is a key position that requires a high level of expertise in occupational health and safety, as well as excellent leadership and management skills.
Main Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement occupational health strategies to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of staff
2. Liaise with senior stakeholders to promote a culture of health and safety throughout the organisation
3. Collaborate with external regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
4. Lead on the development and implementation of policies and procedures to support occupational health and safety initiatives
Key Requirements
* Postgraduate qualification in occupational health or a related field
* Extensive experience in occupational health and safety
* Strong leadership and management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
