We have an exciting opportunity for someone progressing in their career to join our team as a Senior Residential Child Care Worker.
The role of the Senior, in addition to that of a residential worker, is to support the Deputy, taking a supervisory role of staff and being part of the management team.
The service offers care to up to 3 young people ages 8-18 with severe learning disabilities and/or complex physical health needs. The building is equipped to meet accessibility and sensory needs so the young people can develop skills for their future.
You will be joining a staff team who have successfully supported multiple young people into their adult provisions, supporting them to develop lifelong skills of their adult life, enhancing their independence whilst building peer relationships.
Experience of supervising staff and an NVQ / QCF Level Three / Four is a minimum requirement; a willingness to upgrade your qualification is expected.
The post requires an enthusiastic, motivated, and supportive person who wishes to promote care and development of young people with disabilities in a safe environment.
You will need to be able to work shifts on a rota basis, to include nights, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
We are currently based in Hengrove, with a view to move to a purpose-built building in Lawrence Weston in 18-24 months’ time.
