We have an opportunity for a 12 month fixed term appointment or secondment to cover a maternity leave within Psychological Services, within the IPBS team.
This represents a unique opportunity to develop as a Band 8a Senior Psychologist within this Specialist CYPS role within a rapidly changing and dynamic service. Appropriate line management supervision and specialist PBS supervision will be provided within the service, as well as opportunities for appropriate professional development within the role.
Current projects include service evaluation and development of the PBS model for autistic children, mindfulness interventions for parents, staff well-being and Positive Family Intervention (PBS + CBT) development. Opportunities for research and evaluation in these areas would also be encouraged and supported.
The Children and Young People IPBS pathway within the Specialist Children and Young People’s business unit comprises of services for young people with a learning disability who may present with behaviours of concern and/or mental health presentations. The service is currently expanding to develop a pathway for Autistic children who do not have a learning disability. The Intensive Positive Behavioural Support (IPBS) Service sits within the Specialist Children and Young People’s Business Unit. It is a multi-disciplinary team which aims to support young people in their communities, enhancing the community offer at times of increased need as indicated by the Dynamic Support Registers in each locality. It covers the whole CNTW footprint, and as such is a very busy, dynamic team, interfacing through a well-established Clinical Network with each of the Learning Disability Teams within each CNTW locality. The team also sits with the Provider Collaborative initiative, established with the aim of working across the Integrated Care Board footprint of the North East, which means close links are also set up with other Mental Health and Learning Disability Trusts within the region.
