We are looking for A Warehouse General Manager to join our Team in Birmingham You’ll play a key role in optimising operations, streamlining processes, and ensuring outstanding efficiency whilst driving profitability and enhancing customer satisfaction. What You Will Be Doing As Warehouse General Manager Manage Diverse 3PL Warehouse Operations – Oversee multiple contracts, ensuring efficient use of space and handling equipment to meet quality, budget, and environmental targets. Lead and Inspire a Team – Manage people, processes, and systems to ensure goods are received and dispatched efficiently while meeting productivity goals. Align Operations with Business Goals – Ensure warehouse activities contribute to company policies, vision, and long-term strategic plans. Plan for Growth – Work with leadership to forecast future capacity needs and support business development. Drive Operational Excellence – Set strategic goals and continuously improve talent, processes, and profitability. Manage Budgets Effectively – Approve departmental spending based on data-driven decision-making. Enhance Efficiency – Implement transformational initiatives to improve service levels and maximise return on investment. Champion Health & Safety – Continuously develop and uphold high standards of safety, hygiene, and security. Ensure Environmental Compliance – Take ownership of the waste management plan and sustainability initiatives. Safeguard Warehouse Operations – Monitor security procedures to protect assets and ensure compliance. Optimise Workforce Planning – Forecast workloads and allocate labour effectively to maximise efficiency. Maximise Space Utilisation – Continuously assess warehouse layout and make improvements to enhance productivity. Commit to Safe Working Practices – Follow and enforce all health & safety procedures to maintain a secure workplace. Our Ideal Warehouse General Manager Strong understanding of 3PL and multi-contract warehouse management. Proven background in strategic planning and business growth. Skilled in budget and cost management, using data-driven decision-making. Expertise in process improvement, streamlining workflows, and enhancing efficiency. Strong knowledge of workplace safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance. Understanding of waste management, environmental regulations, and sustainability initiatives. Knowledge of warehouse security protocols to safeguard operations. Ability to inspire, lead, and develop a high-performing team. Skilled in workforce planning, forecasting workloads, and managing staffing levels. Effective in space and inventory management, optimizing layouts for maximum Strong analytical skills to identify challenges and drive continuous improvement. Capable of making informed, strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
