A Japanese international shipping company and LNG carrier company is currently recruiting a Financial Operations Coordinator to work in their London office.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Seafarer Division with financial control of all manning & training related costs.
The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Financial Operations Coordinator Main Responsibilities:
* Understand and become familiar with the wage scales, allowances and other manning related costs within the Seafarer Division (SFD)
* Assisting in organising workload for upcoming month
* Verifying the manning and training invoices in PAL
* Assist in reviewing and challenge manning agents for any inconsistencies encountered within their monthly invoices
* Understanding officers and crew wage scales, allowance and all crewing costs
* Requesting Finance department for Account Movement for the invoices to move under the correct account budget code
* Monitor and capture expense arising from P&I Personal Injury / illness claims, raise debit notes for deductibles and outstanding costs at claim closure
* Coordination with P&I Club, Manning agents and SFD members
* Updating the record of P&I cases in SharePoint for the claim matter
* Attend periodic SFD Meetings when required
* Assist CTM request
* Preparing monthly accruals
* Review monthly operating expense reports (OPEX) to ensure actual expenditure is in line with budget
* Development of crewing budgets when required
* Preparing vessel crew pre delivery and operating expense budgets
* Check all invoices such as Portage Bill, Port Disbursement, Airfare invoices, Training Invoices and statements from manning agents and suppliers to ensure no double billing and correct charges
* Request the credit notes from suppliers, to coordinate with Finance Division to delete the invoices
* Other Finance duties, as directed by SFD Team
Financial Operations Coordinator Ideal Candidate:
* «Preferred» Accounting experience
* Language skills: Business level fluency in English
* PC skills: Good IT Skills, Basic Excel skill
* Character: Good communication skills, team worker, reliable
* Character: Attention to detail, eager to learn new skills
