Hays are currently recruiting for an Associate Director for Water Projects to be based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. We are working in partnership with a world-leading design, engineering and project management organisation dedicated to engineering a better future for everyone. The company is committed to delivering end to end service to their clients across the whole life cycle from Capital, Consulting, Decommissioning, Engineering and Design, Operations and Maintenance, Project and Program management up to Project Delivery.
Your new role
The Associate Director for Water Infrastructure responsibilities includes:
1. Lead and oversee teams conducting technical design work, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and codes, and maintaining high-quality levels.
2. Establish and uphold quality assurance standards in design.
3. Define project briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
4. Efficiently manage time and budgets to meet key project milestones and schedules.
5. Collaborate with teams in the UK and internationally to deliver cohesive design solutions.
6. Expand, develop, and manage the water engineering capabilities within practice.
Your role will be critical in shaping transformational programs for essential UK infrastructure, and you'll have the opportunity to work on iconic engineering projects both domestically and internationally.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the Associate Director role, you must have the following qualifications and skills:
1. A chartered civil engineer
2. Excellent knowledge of water and waste water treatment, storage solutions, hydraulics
3. Experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
4. Sound knowledge of UK Design and practices
5. Familiar with UK and EU Standards
