This is an opportunity for a proactive Sales Manager to play a key role in the companys growth and success. This pivotal role which involves overseeing the sales operations, developing, and executing strategic sales plans, leading a dynamic team of Account Managers, and building strong relationships with customers and driving revenue growth. In addition to the commercial aspects of the business the postholder will work alongside applications engineers on existing and new business opportunities in accordance with our strategic objectives. Travel will be necessary within this role, mainly within UK and Europe. Key Responsibilities Management Train, and develop a high performing team of Account Managers Provide ongoing coaching, feedback and support to ensure teams success Responsible for sales planning process Responsible for reporting sales performance to company and group management Creation of & progress reporting of individual and departmental goals Liaison with other DENSO locations (Sales offices & Manufacturing plants) Responsibility for departmental compliance (IATF, TS 16949, J-Sox) and procedures / processes supporting these Direct Customer Activity / Account Management Responsible for all aspects of DENSO Marstons business with major OEM, developing trusting relationships to ensure they do not turn to our competition Identify and pursue opportunities for our business and keep DENSOs systems and forecasts up to date and accurate Work collaboratively with other key departments such as Design and Product Development to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction Anticipate account changes and improvements and acquire a thorough understanding of key market and customer needs and requirements Manage your time effectively, creating quotes, follow-up leads and close new business Prepare and update Sales Plans and provide regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using account metrics Keep up to date with industry trends and new technologies and share information with clients on possibilities to utilise DENSO products Resolve issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints effectively to maintain trust Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams. Take full accountability for demonstrating effective activity and delivering sales performance targets Accurately convey customer requirements to the business, thereby delivering best fit and accurately priced solutions Preferred Experience/Skills Experience of leading and managing a sales team in Automotive, Construction / Agriculture, and / or Material Handling Commercial awareness and a thorough understanding of industry trends and customer demands Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders both internally and externally An ability to sell consultatively, understand and sell to value drivers A proactive approach to targeting and winning new business and an understanding of selling to different buying personas A proven track record of successful account management and sales budget delivery with evidence of a structured and consultative sales process Exceptional networking and relationship building skills Advanced Microsoft 365 skills e.g. Manipulating large datasets in Excel.
