Following a period of growth, we are looking for a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join our busy Edinburgh office. This is an exciting opportunity for a legal professional at the start of their career. The position is full-time (35 hours per week) with attractive benefits and career progression opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with public liability, RTA, and employer liability claims.
Key Responsibilities
* Maximise income per case through recovery of damages to include hire, repairs, recovery and storage.
* Prepare and conduct the case thoroughly ensuring the ingathering of all requisite evidence.
* Deliver a level of Client Care in accordance with service level agreements.
* Report issues, problems and compliance breaches in a timely manner to the appropriate level of management.
* Ensure compliance with Information Security Policies including data confidentiality and the operational security of the Information Systems used.
* Any ad hoc or additional duties as deemed fit and appropriate by the Management Team for this post and the associated level of responsibility attached to it.
Person Specification
* Must be admitted in Scotland - Newly Qualified (NQ).
* Understanding of credit hire would be desirable.
* Court litigation experience including an understanding of Court of Session and Sheriff Court Procedures.
* In-depth drafting experience.
* Conduct hearings in the Sheriff Courts.
* Ability to deal with difficult clients, communicate effectively, and where appropriate give legal advice in relation to their claim.
* Experience of demonstrating effective teamworking within a commercial environment.
* Ability to identify where problems may arise and adopt a solution-focused approach.
