Position: Maintenance Engineer
Bias: Electrical
Environment: Heavy plant. Work may include working indoors, outdoors, at height and in confined spaces.
Structure: Will be working as part of a maintenance team of two.
Rate: £30-40 per hour depending on skills, experience and status.
Status: Inside IR35 or PAYE.
Start: April 2025.
Hours: Monday to Friday days. 39 hour week (Mon - Thu 0730 to 1600hrs, Fri 0730 to 1500hrs).
Duration: 6 months expected.
Requirements:
1. Formal qualification to at least level 3 in Electrical Engineering or similar.
2. Experience in reactive and planned preventative maintenance work.
3. Test and inspect (2394 & 2395 certification) desirable.
4. Experience in fire alarm systems.
5. Experience in PLC's preferred.
6. Experience of 24V bus and control systems.
7. Able to read schematic drawings and fault find on control / bus systems.
8. Able to work in a team with others - you will work very closely with one other person for the duration of the contract.
9. Experience working on large plant eg cranes, kinetic architecture.
10. Understanding of emergency lighting systems beneficial (UPS, battery back up etc).
11. Happy to work indoors, outdoors, at heights and in confined spaces.
