At SISD we follow the framework of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme from Pre-Kindergarten (PreKG) to Grade 12 and the Swiss Baccalaureate programme from Grade 6 onwards. We are looking for an outstanding, passionate, caring and reflective Secondary Student Support & Wellbeing Counsellor for August 2025.
The Secondary Student Support and Wellbeing Counsellor has an important role in the Secondary School and Boarding House and is an integral part of the student journey, by providing social and emotional support to day students and boarding students and actively promoting the well-being of all students. The Secondary Student Support and Wellbeing Counsellor will establish and nurture effective working relationships with students and academic teams and with parents and to develop productive links with external agencies and specialists drawing upon resources for support. The Secondary Student Support and Wellbeing Counsellor will provide professional support to individuals, groups, working closely with the Boarding, Primary and Secondary pastoral team, Child Protection Coordinator, and all staff, maintaining confidential records and following school policy and procedures with regards to Safeguarding. Occasional participation in outreach or promotional activities may be required (to include local and international trips), but every effort will be made to ensure that this request is reasonable and shared equitably amongst all teaching staff.
