This role focuses on improving existing and creating new real-time solutions to meet client needs. Areas of potential focus include equities, events, commodities, and entitlement management. As a product manager, you will be responsible for developing strategies and working with engineering teams to deliver solutions that extend our market-leading position.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop user stories and requirements that lead to the delivery of new products, new product features, and existing product improvements.
2. Manage the data product roadmap, specifications, prioritization, and backlog by addressing business needs based on market trends and customer demand through an agile process.
3. Communicate product vision and development status by setting, tracking, and reviewing metrics for desired product outcomes.
4. Perform market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities.
5. Acquire knowledge of customer investing processes and improve client usability of services.
6. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to define and scope product requirements.
7. Own product documentation and collaborate with marketing to develop client-facing collateral.
8. Develop a deep understanding of our enterprise offering and improve client interaction with our content.
9. Build strong relationships with clients to understand their key challenges and evolve our offering.
10. Represent Bloomberg globally to our customers, prospects, and vendor partners.
11. Focus on how the product and its delivery impacts the client.
Qualifications:
1. 5 years' experience as a product manager.
2. Proven understanding of the financial markets and the needs of buy-side and sell-side customers.
3. Ability to deconstruct client challenges and take a data-driven approach for business cases.
4. Capability of fostering relationships with clients and building an internal collaborative network.
5. Understanding of APIs, service-oriented architectures, or cloud solution design.
6. Experience with Real-Time market data and distribution technologies.
Preferred:
1. Confidence in communicating how data and technology solutions achieve client business goals.
2. Broad understanding of the asset class spectrum with a focus on exchange and contributed data.
3. Basic proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
4. Bachelor's degree in finance, statistics, mathematics, or economics.
5. CFA or equivalent.
