Join our team as a Direct Freight Operator We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented individual to take full responsibility for the customer experience by managing the end-to-end shipment process. If you have a passion for logistics, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you Location: Basildon, UK Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:30 What will you be doing? As a Direct Freight Operator, you will: Prepare customer bookings accurately and in line with shipment requests. Oversee the entire shipment lifecycle to guarantee timely and efficient delivery. Collaborate with customers and internal teams to meet customer satisfaction goals. Take ownership of resolving customer queries proactively and professionally. Monitor local customer KPIs and service levels to maintain high standards. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Promote Health & Safety awareness by reporting any hazards in the workplace. Carry out additional duties as requested by your manager. About You To succeed in this role, you will need: Strong customer service skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. A passion for delivering excellence and a commitment to continuous improvement. Minimum GCSE qualifications in English and Maths (or equivalent). The ability to make sound, consistent decisions. Fast and accurate data entry skills.
