We are seeking a dedicated individual to join JCT600 Sheffield Accident Repair Centre as a Vehicle Parts Advisor Apprentice. This apprenticeship provides a unique opportunity to learn about vehicle parts management and customer service within the automotive industry. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, the apprentice will develop the essential skills and knowledge required to excel in the role of a parts advisor. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about automobiles, with a keen interest in parts identification, inventory management, and providing exceptional customer support. Working Week: A standard workweek typically consists of 40 hours, scheduled from Monday to Friday, starting at 8:30 am and ending at 5:30 pm. Nevertheless, the specific working hours may vary depending on the requirements of individual Dealers. Approximately 20% of your total work hours will be dedicated to 'off-the-job' training. This is a mixture of online classrooms and face-to-face learning at The Performance Academy in Slough. Qualification: The Programme lasts for 12-14 months and you'll achieve a nationally recognised qualification: Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse 12 months 12 weeks for EPA (End Point Assessment). Salary: Our employers determine the level of pay our learners receive. All employers are required to pay, at least, The National Apprenticeship Wage. Responsibilities: Learn to identify and locate automotive parts using electronic catalogs, manuals, and computer systems. Assist customers in-person, over the phone, and via email to fulfill their parts requirements and inquiries. Collaborate with service technicians and mechanics to ensure accurate parts ordering and timely delivery. Receive, inspect, and organize incoming parts shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality control. Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and placing replenishment orders as needed. Utilize point-of-sale systems to process transactions, generate invoices, and manage customer accounts. Provide product recommendations, technical advice, and pricing information to customers as needed. Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, striving to achieve satisfactory resolutions. Uphold company policies and procedures regarding parts sales, returns, and exchanges. Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge, customer service skills, and industry awareness. Your Development and Future Prospects: All of our Apprentices are employed through the Dealer Network and attend week-long block training at our state-of-the-art Training Centre in Slough. Block training is complemented by a combination of regular coaching visits from one of our experienced Coaches as well as Virtual Classroom sessions and E-Learning modules. Throughout your apprenticeship journey, we are committed to nurturing your growth and development, guiding you toward attaining a widely recognized qualification in the motor industry. Entry requirements and qualifications: Aged 16 Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English or equivalent. A strong interest in learning about vehicle parts and stock management. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to follow instructions and learn from experienced parts advisors. Good computer skills for documentation and communication purposes. Working towards or in possession of a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
