Role Overview
The successful candidate will teach Design and Technology across various year groups, fostering creativity, technical skills, and critical thinking. Key Responsibilities:
* Teach Design and Technology to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, tailoring lessons to a high standard
* Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons and projects that promote technical skills and creativity
* Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school policies and expectations
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the DT curriculum and department initiatives
* Foster a positive and inspiring classroom environment that supports student learning and well-being
* Participate actively in the school’s extracurricular and enrichment activities related to DT
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in Design and Technology or a related subject. Experience in an independent school setting is advantageous but not essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for DT, excellent subject knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in an independent school environment.
Essential Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Degree in Design and Technology or a related discipline
* Experience teaching DT at various levels, ideally up to KS5
* Strong organisational and classroom management skills
* Ability to inspire and motivate students with innovative and challenging projects
