Responsibilities
:
1. Support the Embedding of the Operational Resilience framework within the business to help drive the future resilience agenda.
2. Act as a first point of contact, supporting the Operational Resilience Lead, and resilience SME for M&G Life, providing resilience and continuity advice to deliver a robust Operational Resilience framework, owned and operated by the business.
3. Support the business inpleting the annual review of their Business Continuity Plans, including refreshing the Business Impact Analysis (BIA), identifying the resources (third party, data, technology, people and facilities) that they depend on to deliver their critical processes and assessing the viability of their contingency solutions to deal with severe but plausible scenarios.
4. Support the activities to identify and maintain the M&G Life's Important Business Services (IB Services), includingpleting Service Impact Analysis (SIA) and setting Impact Tolerances.
5. Support with testing of Business Continuity Plans and the scenario testing of IB Services, including preparation of scenarios, conducting testing, identifying and recording vulnerabilities that require remediation.
6. Support M&G Life business colleagues with Incident and Crisis Management activities as required.
7. Delivery of Continuity and Resilience training (both formal training and informal support) to a range of stakeholders in the Life business.
8. Support the Operational Resilience oversight of material third party arrangements, including function to function meeting facilitation, scheduling, minutepletion and action assignment/tracking.
9. Support the oversight of intra-group arrangements in place.
10. Deputise for the Operational Resilience Lead as required.
Key Skills and Requirements:
11. Strong Awareness of, and interest in, the Operational Resilience regulation from an FCA/PRA perspective and the step-up from traditional Business Continuity practices.
12. Evidencable and demonstratable strong past experience in an Operational Resilience based role within financial services, ideally within a Life business would be a real bonus.
13. Ability to articulate key principles of Resilience disciplines including third party resilience and business continuity.
14. Good stakeholder management skills including building strong and effective relationships and confident in dealing with colleagues at all levels.
15. Experienced in process analysis, improvement, change management andernance.
16. Experienced in designing and executing Business Continuity and Important Business Service Scenario testing.
17. Experienced with Resilience Risk identification, assessment and remediation planning.
18. A proactive mindset and the ability to use initiative to drive assigned tasks forward.
19. The ability to handle and absorb business change and apply a resilience lens to identify risks and issues.
