Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Assistant to join our busy HR & Payroll Service Centre. You will provide a professional and efficient central first point of contact for general HR and payroll queries for all areas of West Dunbartonshire Council. Responding to managers, staff and trade union representatives on a daily basis, in line with WDC policy, current employment legislation and HR/Payroll best practice.
Our team supports the full delivery of recruitment and contractual change and manages the administration and development of an integrated HR and Payroll system. This includes a high volume of transactional processing for payroll, working to strict deadlines. You will be required to provide administrative system support to ensure the ongoing development of our HR Service with an emphasis on supporting our customers in the use of our HR Self Service System.
Good ICT skills are essential for this post and previous experience with an HR/Payroll system would be advantageous.

The preferred candidate will be required to complete a Basic Disclosure check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
