Role: HR Business Partner
Location: Cambridge / Huntingdon / Hybrid working
Duration: 3 Months - likely to extend to 6 months
Hourly rate: £25 PAYE
4-5 days per week / 30 - 37.5 hours per week
Job Purpose
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will provide strategic, customer-focused HR advice and solutions to Service Directors and Senior Managers. They will lead on workforce strategies, manage complex HR initiatives, and support organisational change, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Workforce Strategy: Develop and implement HR strategies and plans to support business targets, service improvement, and cost-efficiency initiatives.
Performance & Metrics: Analyse workforce data to enhance productivity and support managers in achieving performance targets.
Organisational Change: Design and implement workforce change programs, including TUPE transfers, role redesign, and new service delivery models.
HR Policy & Practice: Advocate for HR best practices, provide expert advice on employment legislation, and deliver HR training to managers.
Employee Relations: Manage HR cases related to performance, grievances, absence, and disciplinary issues, ensuring adherence to policies.
Policy Development: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.
Leadership & Line Management: Oversee HR Advisors, manage workloads, performance appraisals, and professional development.
Communication: Handle sensitive and complex employee matters with professionalism and engage with unions and external partners.Person Specification
Education/Qualifications: CIPD-qualified or equivalent experience.
Experience: Proven expertise in senior HR roles, organisational change, and unionised environments. NHS experience is desirable.
Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication and IT proficiency.
Personal Qualities: Positive, flexible, customer-focused approach, with a commitment to respecting diversity and maintaining dignity.
Other: Ability to travel across the Trust as needed
