About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and analytical Quality Systems Engineer to join a precision manufacturing environment with a strong focus on continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and lean processes. You'll be at the heart of quality operations, helping to shape the internal systems and ensure robust compliance with internationally recognised standards. Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and develop the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, ensuring effective documentation and implementation.
* Conduct internal quality audits across departments, identifying non-conformances, opportunities for improvement, and best practices.
* Produce clear and concise reports on audit findings, KPI trends (such as scrap rates, rework levels, and delivery performance), and risk areas.
* Lead the development and maintenance of Control Plans, Work Instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Work closely with production and engineering teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures based on 8D and Root Cause Analysis.
* Support the creation and review of quality documentation, including PPAPs, ISIRs, and customer-specific quality deliverables.
* Deliver internal training on audit techniques and quality system awareness to junior team members.
* Communicate with customers on quality-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and effective root cause elimination.
* Collaborate in continuous improvement projects, identifying areas for system enhancement, process simplification, and defect reduction.
* Support compliance activities related to health and safety, traceability, and regulatory requirements within the manufacturing environment.
* Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the Business Management System (BMS).
Candidate Profile
* Educational background in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field (degree preferred).
* Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, audit practices, and process documentation.
* Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or precision component environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with quality management software/tools.
* Hands-on experience with PPAP, FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and Control Plans is a strong advantage.
* Familiarity with customer quality requirements in automotive, aerospace, or high-tech sectors is beneficial.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels.
* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and confident in presenting quality issues and solutions constructively.
