My client is a worldwide prestigious security company seeking a Production Team Leader to join them at their Leicester electronics manufacturing base.

Pay Rate: Up to £30,843
The Team Leader will oversee our production operations. A successful candidate will be expected to enhance productivity, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and lead a team to achieve manufacturing excellence. We rely on our leaders to inspire and motivate their teams while maintaining a keen eye for operational efficiencies and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and lead a team of manufacturing personnel in a high-volume production environment.
2. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate targets.
3. Coordinate with other departments to meet production targets and maintain seamless operations.
4. Monitor production standards and quality control measures.
5. Ensure that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements.
6. Handle conflict resolution and perform problem-solving as necessary.
7. Support the training of new team members and ensure that all team members are competent in their roles.
8. Implement and support continuous improvement strategies to enhance production efficiency and safety.
9. Ensure all manufacturing records are completed appropriately and accurately.
10. Ensure the escalation procedure for quality concerns is followed.
11. Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
12. Manage operators' attendance, employee-related issues, 121s, and performance reviews.
13. Identify areas for improvement and initiate projects aimed at lowering costs and improving quality.
Key Competencies:
1. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems.
2. Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
3. Proficient in MS and any relevant manufacturing management software.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
5. Leadership and team management.
Skills and Knowledge:
1. Manufacturing background.
2. Previous experience as a People Leader in a manufacturing environment.
3. Knowledge of the GP MRP/ERP System or a similar system.
