Your new role:
8. Deliver a high standard of learning, development, and care for children aged 0-5 years.
9. Deputy for the Nursery Manager.
10. Supervise and appraise nursery staff as directed.
11. Ensure that the preschool nursery is a safe environment for children, staff, and others.
12. Develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development.
13. Be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Nursery Manager.
Main Activities:
14. Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating educational environment both indoors and outdoors.
15. Deliver an appropriate play-based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
16. Ensurepliance with Ofsted requirements.
17. Undertake designated officer roles as directed.
18. Collaborate with other professionals in the local area.
19. Implement preschool nursery policies and procedures.
20. Plan activities aligned with early learning goals.
21. Act as a key person for specific children.
22. Maintain proper records.
23. Liaise closely with parents/carers.
24. Contribute to self-evaluation and improvement planning.
25. Perform other reasonable duties as directed.
What you'll need to succeed
26. Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
27. Proven experience as a Deputy Manager in a nursery setting.
28. Passion for child development and creating a positive learning environment.
29. Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
