Schedule:
* Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 4.30pm.
Main Areas of Responsibilities:
1. Provide regular support via telephone and supervisory visits to foster carers, including occasional unannounced visits.
2. Monitor and review the suitability and competence of foster carers.
3. Undertake Form F assessments of potential foster carers and annual foster carer home reviews.
4. Ensure children/young people and their families receive foster care services that reflect their assessed needs.
5. Liaise with Local Authority Social Worker for relevant documentation.
6. Facilitate and support contact as agreed in the care plan.
7. Prioritize the protection of children and promote their welfare.
8. Complete and update necessary Risk Assessments and Placement Plans.
9. Seek children/young people’s opinions on issues affecting their lives.
10. Support foster carers in preparing children for independent living.
11. Ensure carers understand the task, competencies, and expected standards.
12. Take responsibility for professional development and training.
13. Maintain placement agreements and comprehensive case recordings.
14. Undertake direct work and assessment of child/young person and foster carers.
15. Work in partnership with the child’s network to identify needs.
16. Attend and contribute to team meetings regularly.
17. Ensure confidentiality.
18. Participate in office duty and out of hours duty as agreed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £38,000.00 per year
