The Support Officer role involves working with families and children who are supported within the child in need, child in care and child protection arena. As part of the role, you will assist children and families in accessing essential services and resources to ensure their well-being. Direct work with families is a crucial part of the role and you will be part of assessing the needs of children and families, providing guidance and support, and connect them with community programmes and support services.
You will work to support North Lincolnshire Council’s One Family Approach, to ensure the best possible outcomes for families and children. We believe in supporting children and young people to remain in their families, schools and communities through our commitment to enable resilience.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of working with children, young people and their families
- Have understanding of statutory and legal responsibilities towards children, young people and their families
- Be able to communicate effectively with children, families and professionals
- Have the right to work in the UK
