Job Description
In identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities within the engineering consulting sector with a focus on promoting our geoscience services. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of successfully managing and closing projects, coupled with a strong aptitude for cultivating and maintaining client relationships.
Responsibilities:
1. Business Development: Responsible for effectively sourcing, negotiating, and facilitating new business.
2. Proposal and Contract Management: Creating and delivering proposals inclusive of scope, fees, and qualifications for public and client RFPs.
3. Client Relationship Management: Responsible for developing strong working relationships with clients.
4. Project Oversight: Assembling and guiding a team of RWDI consultants toward meeting project objectives by overseeing the preparation of documentation developed by the technical team.
5. Project Performance: Accountable for project performance, on-time and quality delivery, and ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.
6. Financial Management: Manage financial activities of the project including tracking revenue, issuing invoices, and recovering receivables.
7. Quality Assurance: Ensuring that Quality Assurances are completed, recorded, and meet company standards and project scope.
8. Innovation: Track industry developments and innovations to ensure that RWDI continuously delivers relevant services and new and innovative deliverables.
9. Presentations and Conferences: Regularly develop and deliver presentations at project meetings/workshops and industry events.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in business development and project management within the engineering consulting sector.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geoscience or Environmental Science.
3. Understanding of building design and construction process, codes, standards, and protocols.
4. Strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
5. Ability to communicate technical concepts to clients effectively.
6. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
7. Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets.
8. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
9. willingness to travel as needed.
