Quality Engineer
Our client is a UK-based specialist in manufacturing metal and composite components, serving industries such as rail, modular construction, automotive, aerospace, and defense. They emphasize engineering excellence through investment in cutting-edge technology and the expertise of their personnel, delivering outstanding results from initial design and development to finished products. To support the organization in delivering quality milestones related to the introduction of new and existing products. This includes the implementation of IATF 16949 and AS9100 Rev D, utilizing the current Business Management System (BMS).
Promote customer-preferred techniques for continuous improvement, such as Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis.
Perform statistical analysis of measurement results from capability studies and produce reports.
Act as the direct interface between external customers, internal engineering/projects, and production teams.
Ensure quality milestones are achieved.
Create DMR reports, liaise with suppliers, and ensure thorough root cause analysis with verified closure actions.
Complete weekly quality KPIs and follow up on actions.
Proven background in quality assurance with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills to manage objectives and priorities effectively.
In-depth knowledge of quality assurance techniques, including Core Tools (FMEA, Control Plan, APQP, PPAP).
HNC Qualification in Manufacturing or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 16:30; Generous holiday allowance and pension scheme
