Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, repair, and commission industrial steam and hot water boiler systems.
2. Provide expert engineering support for maintenance tasks, including diagnosing faults and recommending solutions.
3. Overhaul pressure system valves, steam traps, heat exchangers, and fixtures both on-site and in the workshop.
4. Conduct surveys and service inspections on steam systems, preparing equipment for non-destructive testing.
5. Clean and maintain boiler tubes and biomass systems.
6. Support the on-call rota for contract customers, handling reactive maintenance (this will only happen with fully trained).
7. Train and mentor apprentices and colleagues, sharing your knowledge.
8. Build strong relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities.
9. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
What You'll Need:
1. Engineering degree (HNC or higher) or equivalent.
2. Ideally hold gas qualifications (COCPI1, ICPN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A) or 18th Edition Electrical.
3. Experience with steam, hot water, and thermal oil boilers is a plus.
4. Full driving license and willingness to travel across Scotland, including overnight stays.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to customer service.
