The role would suit someone with previous experience in a Product Development role accompanied by a background in food manufacturing/production. Day to day, you will work alongside the Technical Manager, Head of Innovation, and Development Chefs. You will be instrumental in delivering new products to market and play a key role across the whole process from conception through to launch.

THE ROLE:
1. Delivering new products & customer launches to market.
2. Ensuring that ingredient/product information is accurate, up-to-date, and consistent in the NPD system.
3. Understanding project critical paths and implications of deviations.
4. Building relationships with manufacturers, understanding capabilities, and spending time on-site with their development teams to create exciting products efficiently.
5. Coordinating sample requests, overseeing product processes, and conducting organoleptic and shelf-life evaluations across product ranges.
6. Generating product labeling in compliance with relevant legislation.
7. Supporting continuous improvement projects by identifying innovative ideas and ingredient opportunities that maximize cost savings and enhance business efficiency.
8. Generating internal & external project documentation.
9. Attending factory trials and product launches at various locations across the UK and Ireland.
10. Assisting in sending samples for customer requests, photography, or external events.
11. Being active in hosting customer visits.
12. Investigating new global & local food trends and competitor activity.
THE PERSON:
1. BSc Food Science/Technology (or similar) with previous experience in a similar role.
2. Computer literate, particularly in Excel.
3. A self-starter who shows initiative and excels in multitasking with attention to detail.
4. Excellent organizational skills and a natural can-do attitude.
5. Relishes working in a fast-paced environment in a hands-on capacity independently and as part of a team.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. A valid UK driving license is essential if required to drive to suppliers/clients or between offices.
8. A strong interest in food outside of work and awareness of market trends.
