Part time (25 hours per week) St Columba’s School is situated in the beautiful Renfrewshire countryside just 30 minutes from Glasgow. We are seeking a pro-active and energetic ICT Support Engineer to join our ICT Department. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and problem solving abilities. The main duties will be to support staff and pupils by ensuring that all ICT services are delivered promptly. This is a full-year post with 5 weeks’ annual leave Key responsibilities and duties: • Work closely with and deputise for ICT Manager • Ensure the ICT Department provides support and an efficient service to all users • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues within the School for all users • Manage issues reported to the ICT Helpdesk email address • Manage Microsoft 365 suite of tools • Manage password resets for all users • Ensure all software is up to date on all devices • Maintenance and minor repairs of devices and peripherals • Ensure devices are switched off during holiday periods and recharged ready for use at start of term • Log tickets and liaise with external ICT Support providers for infrastructure issues • Process catering transactions at morning break and lunch time • Undertake CPD to ensure system knowledge and skills are up to date • Any other duties as required by the Rector or the Bursar The post is part-time with occasional evening and weekend work required to support School events.
