The Finance Manager (Commercial Property & Service Charge) role involves:
This role is varied and while predominantly commercial accounts based, will involve working closely with the Property Manager, Facilities Manager, Accounts Department, and MD. We are looking for a pro-active, well-organised, self-starter with attention to detail to join our friendly, family-run property company based in Weybridge. The role has come about due to retirement and as such, full training will be given by the outgoing member of staff.
1. Commercial property finance management using Qube property system.
2. Full responsibility for keeping Qube up to date, loading all new leases and regular liaison with Portfolio Manager and Facilities Management.
3. Preparing completion statements for new leases.
4. Raising tenant charges monthly for rent, service charges, and utility charges, and also annual insurance charges.
5. Posting tenant receipts on a daily basis.
6. Sending out monthly tenant statements.
7. Monthly pay over of rents to landlords.
8. Bank reconciliations.
9. Assisting with monthly and quarterly accounts.
10. Weekly purchase ledger posting and payments.
1. Collate Service Charge budgets for the new year, in collaboration with Portfolio and Facilities Manager.
2. Send budgets to tenants.
3. Dealing with tenant queries.
4. Updating the budgets for the new service charge year on QUBE.
5. Raise invoices monthly or quarterly.
6. Prepare Services Charges to be audited at service charge year end and send all information to auditors.
7. Check accounts returned from Auditors.
8. Raise year-end balancing charges and send audited accounts to tenants.
Profile
The ideal candidate for the Finance Manager (Commercial Property & Service Charge) will have:
1. Minimum of 3 years work experience including commercial service charges.
2. Good interpersonal skills, someone who can communicate effectively and efficiently with people at all levels.
3. Good IT knowledge, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential.
4. Knowledge of Qube is highly desirable.
5. A very organised and capable approach to the workplace and a willingness to take responsibility for their own workload.
6. Be able to work on their own initiative.
7. The ability to work towards tight deadlines.
Job Offer
The Finance Manager (Commercial Property & Service Charge) role offers a base salary of £40-50,000 + private healthcare, free parking, and 1 day from home per week.
