The Role:
My client is seeking a motivated Multi-Skilled Operative to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will work across a variety of tasks, including adaptive works for social housing, commercial and residential fit-out projects, and facility management duties. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth completion of tasks, adhering to timelines, and maintaining high-quality standards in every aspect of your work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out adaptive works for social housing (e.g., disability adaptations, grab rails, access ramps).
2. General construction fit-out work including skirting, flooring, and interior finishes.
3. Facility management tasks such as snagging, filler work, and minor repairs.
4. Perform general maintenance and repairs as required in both residential and commercial settings.
5. Ensure high-quality standards are met in every task, while adhering to health and safety regulations.
6. Respond efficiently to emergency call-outs and work orders, ensuring prompt completion.
7. Collaborate with the site manager, tradespeople, and contractors to ensure smooth operations on-site.
8. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled role within construction or facility management.
2. Strong skills in snagging, skirting, filler work, flooring, and general repairs.
3. Knowledge of adaptive works for social housing is a plus.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of work.
6. Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
7. Full UK driving license.
