A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Transport & Warehouse Operative to join a friendly team in an amazing company.
We are a growing furniture business that supplies the hospitality industry and trade buyers and we are looking for someone who will thrive on working in a fast paced and challenging role. The ideal candidate will be organised, pro-active and able to work well alone or as part of a team and have a passion for delivering excellent results and work to a high standard.
Responsibilities and tasks
1. Working across two sites: Production and Warehouse
2. Checking all deliveries are in full and accurate with no damages
3. Reporting any delivery damages to Procurement team and organising replacements
4. Undertaking stock check inclusive of spot checks and annual full stock take
5. Picking of stock ready for projects to be delivered
6. Loading vehicles ready for drivers/install team
7. Updating System with any damages and movements
8. Reporting any maintenance issues and being in attendance for any annual services required in the warehouse
9. Attention to detail with processes and being Health & Safety aware
10. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment and being an asset to the day-to-day activities
Required skills and experience
1. Physically fit, due to the manual handling required
2. Ability to meet deadlines
3. Self-motivated
4. Strong numeracy and literacy skills
5. Excellent organisation skills with attention to detail
6. Must have full UK driving licence
7. Good IT skills - knowledge of Sage system would be advantageous, but training will be provided
8. Forklift licence would also be advantageous, but training would be provided for the right candidate
This role is based at our Doncaster site with excellent staff facilities, free parking, free tea & coffee, snacks and fruit, and other perks such as membership to Westfield Health, great social events, and Feast Fridays.
This position benefits from a company pension, quality workwear, 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and also receives paid leave while the business is closed over the festive period. Salary is £12 per hour DOE, based on a 39-hour working week, Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays.
This is a permanent position and does not involve any shift work, weekend, or bank holiday working.
