We are currently recruiting for a Test,Survey and Repair Technician.
As a Test, Surveyand Repair Technician you will be required To test and inspectvarious manufactured and bought in products, using the relevanttest specification, equipment and processes. In addition,responsible for carrying out surveys on units, diagnosing faults,repairing units and on completion testing to confirmfunctionality.
Responsibilitiesof a Test, Surevy and RepairTechnician:
* Toundertake Test and inspection activities as directed by the Test,Survey and repair Lead.
* Toproduce documentation in detail to support testresults.
* Write in-depth reports detailingfailures and defective components.
* To inspectproducts on completion of testing to ensure the highest qualitystandards are achieved.
* To provide support toEngineering on prototype equipment and procedures, advising on anyspecialist test requirements needed.
* To assistother departments on manufacturing processinstructions.
* To assist in the survey andrepair of returned products
* Use problem solvingskill to prove faults.
* Repair of unitsincluding wiring, card changing and component level changing oncards.
* Survey of units to establishcondition and diagnosing faults.
* Supporting themaintenance and improvement of testequipment.
* Responsible for conducting all workwithin the company Health and Safetyguidelines.
* To undertake a flexible approach toworking hours ensuring output and customer requirements aremet.
* Undertake other tasks as identified by thebusiness, which are generally in line with the interests andoverall development of the Company as awhole.
* Always ensure compliance with thecompany/department controlProcedures.
Qualifications/KeyAttributes/Knowledge:
* Holda qualification in Electrical & Electronics L3 or higher orequivalent experience.
* A good understanding oftest practices.
* Experienced with MicrosoftWord, Excel and programming.
* Be able to readcircuit diagrams and fault find to componentlevel.
* Be able to repair to IPC 620 and 610standards.
* Be able to interpret and analysetest results.
* Provideadvice on testing to the contracts department to allowcomprehensive bids to be placed for existing and futurework.
* Have in-depth knowledge ofelectrical/electronic testequipment.
* Understand Quality Controlmeasures.
* Understand ESDprocedures.
* Ability to work to tightdeadlines.
* Strong written and verbalcommunication skills.
* A confident and effectiveproblem solver and decision maker whilst workingunder
* * Must be self-motivated, teamplayer and able to work on own initiative.
