1. Completed post-graduate doctoral level DClinPsy in clinical psychology as accredited by the BPS
2. Current HCPC registration for Clinical Psychologist

Desirable criteria
1. Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
Experience
Essential criteria
1. Experience of working with children and adults with physical health problems, or with children or adults with mental health problems
2. Experience of exercising clinical responsibility for client's psychological care and treatment
3. Experience of teaching, training and/or professional and clinical supervision
4. Experience of carrying out research
Desirable criteria
1. Working as a qualified Clinical Psychologist in paediatric psychology or adult clinical health psychology
Communication and relationship skills
Essential criteria
1. Well developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, highly technical, and clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS
2. Skills in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups
Desirable criteria
1. Knowledge of the theory and practice of highly specialised psychological therapies or assessment methodologies
2. Experience of working within a multicultural framework
3. Knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group
Analytical and judgement skills
Essential criteria
1. Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention and management
2. Doctoral level knowledge of research design and methodology, including both quantitative and qualitative methods

1. Well-developed knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies for people with long-term health conditions
2. Knowledge of complex multivariate data analysis as practiced within the field of clinical psychology
3. Experience using qualitative research methods
Planning and organisation skills
Essential criteria
1. Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS/HCPC
2. Ability to identify, provide and promote appropriate means of support to carers and staff exposed to distressing situations
3. Ability to identify, and employ, as appropriate, clinical governance mechanisms for the support and maintenance of clinical practice
4. Ability to develop and use complex multi-media materials for presentations in public, professional and academic settings
Physical skills

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
